Frequently Asked Questions

Active membership is open to all Politecnico di Milano students, from any faculty. MESA is a non-profit, apolitical association. No engineering background or prior experience required, just curiosity.

EESTEC (Electrical Engineering Students' European Association) is a European federation of engineering student associations. MESA is the EESTEC Local Committee (LC) of Milan, part of a network of LCs across dozens of European countries. That's what makes our international workshops and exchanges possible.

€10 per year. It unlocks access to all local events, the WhatsApp community, the members' mailing list, international EESTEC events, and the chance to join the organizing teams. Full details are on the Join Us page.

As a Polimi student you can already join some local events, MesAperitivi, and General Meetings, and follow our Telegram channel. Active Members additionally get access to ALL local events, the WhatsApp community, international EESTEC events, hands-on experience organizing events, and eligibility for leadership positions.

Other EESTEC Local Committees across Europe organize workshops, exchanges, and competitions throughout the year. As an Active Member you can apply to attend, meet students from all over Europe, and even help MESA host its own international events in Milan.

EESTEC's working language is English, and that is one of the reasons to join rather than a requirement to meet. You practise it here with people from all over Europe, in a place where nobody is grading you and everybody else is learning too.

Absolutely. MESA runs on six teams that anyone can join. Passion and willingness to learn are the only real requirements. You can be part of several teams and switch during the year.
